Stanley Medical Centre
Hello and welcome to our website. We’ve packed it full of useful information in a very easy to use format with the added benefit of several online functions. If you’re new to the area, have a look at our website and opening times, and feel free to pop in and see us.
GP’s have been advised by the Government that the vast majority of consultations for the foreseeable future will be “virtual” consultations by phone and possibly on occasion by video consultation.
This is to protect the population and allow the services to continue to provide high quality health care.
The Doctors and Nurses will discuss the problem with you and if necessary, will then arrange for you to be seen. It is envisaged that most problems can be dealt with in this manner and patients might be asked to send in pictures as part of the initial consultation.
We realise that this might not be the way we are used to consulting / being consulted, but this is what the government advises and we will have to continue with this at the moment.
We will be seeing patients face to face if needed and if you have a medical problem it is very important you contact the surgery (or “111” in the out of hour period) and you will be dealt with as quickly as possible and in an appropriate manner. You can still dial 999 for medical emergencies if you need an ambulance.
We are sorry this state has to continue but it is for everyone’s protection as COVID 19 is still a major risk.
Thank you from the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Stanley Medical Centre for your understanding.
