Flu Vaccination Clinics 2020

Due to COVID-19, our flu clinics have changed this year.  The clinics noted in the attachment are all by appointment only.  You can book an appointment by calling us between 2 - 4pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

As social distancing needs to be observed for these clinics as well as increased infection control procedures, appointments will be more limited than previous years.  You can also book into a central immunisation clinic in Perth - please call the surgery within the booking times noted for more information.

The clinics noted are for the 'usual' patient groups who would normally receive a flu vaccination as well as patients who 'officially' shielded and their household members.  Patients aged 55 - 64 years of age in the additional patient cohort will be vaccinated in December / January - clinics will be advertised in due course.

PLEASE NOTE: if you have a booked appointment, please do not attend the surgery more than a few minutes prior to your appointment time.  You will not be able to access the surgery early.  We would also ask that you do not congregate outside the surgery in the car park area before / after your flu vaccination.

24.06.2020: Face Masks - Scottish Government advice is as follows - "You must wear a face covering when using public transport in order to prevent the transmission of the virus. For children under 5 years of age or those with particular health conditions who cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering because of any physical or mental illness or impairment or disability or without severe distress an exemption applies. There is no requirement to obtain evidence in the form of a letter from a doctor or government that you are exempt. If you have a condition which means you cannot wear a face covering you need only advise if asked that you cannot wear a face covering because you are exempt for one of the reasons listed above."

Shielding Letters

A number of patients will be in receipt of a shielding letter noting that they need to 'shield' for 12 weeks - some patients may have received this letter quite recently.  The Government advice is that patients should 'shield' until 18th June 2020 at the very earliest - Government advice may change though - therefore, when we are calling patients, we are advising the 12 weeks unless there is a public announcement stating otherwise.

Also, as criteria changes and diagnosis updates are available, patients may still be identified to 'shield' and a letter will be sent.

**NEW** Online Services for Patients

We now offer patients the option to order their repeat prescriptions and book GP appointments online.  If you would like to access this service, please ask one of our Reception team for a registration form.  Alternatively, you can print one off from the link below and bring it in with your Identification.
