Currently, our appointment system remains unchanged (from the outset of the pandemic) - all GP appointments are via telephone consultation in the first instance and are released for booking 'on the day'.
We fully appreciate that our appointment booking system is causing some frustrations with patients and we are currently looking to alter this from May 2021 to include some pre-bookable appointments for patients. These will be limited as we have to ensure that there is sufficient capacity for patients calling 'on the day'.
Therefore, we will be reviewing the appointment system on a regular basis to see where improvements can be made. Our Practice Manager receives many suggestions / notes of feedback on a daily / weekly basis and these are all taken on board and will be included in our reviews. However we must note that we cannot provide the same appointment booking service that we had pre-pandemic at this point.
