Stanley Medical Centre

Hello and welcome to our website.  We’ve packed it full of useful information in a very easy to use format with the added benefit of several online functions. If you’re new to the area, have a look at our website and opening times, and feel free to pop in and see us.

Flu Vaccinations 2021 / COVID Boosters

We will be delivering flu vaccination clinics throughout September - November this year for patients aged 70 years and over & those identified as clinically extremely vulnerable (this does not include some patients under 65 years who would normally receive their flu vaccination at the practice).

We will only be supplied with the vaccine stock for these patients.

We will be in contact with all patients noted above in due course - please be patient as we have over 700 patients identified to book into our clinics.

All other patients, including those under 65 years with a pre-existing condition who would normally receive their vaccination at the practice, will receive a letter inviting them to get their flu vaccination at a central clinic.

The arrangements this year are a little different than 'normal' and are the same arrangements for all general practices across Tayside.

COVID Booster vaccinations will not be offered at the practice and all patients eligible will receive a letter in due course inviting them to attend a central clinic - again, this is the arrangement across Tayside.

** UPDATE 23.09.21 **

Patients within the cohorts we are delivering the flu vaccination to (over 70 years and clinically extremely vulnerable) may receive a 'blue envelope' in the mail inviting you to attend a central clinic for your COVID booster vaccination.  You can receive your flu vaccination at the same time there or you can have your flu vaccination at the practice and your COVID booster vaccination at the central clinic.  The choice is yours.

Patients aged 50-69 years or in an 'at risk category' under 65 years of age (those who would normally receive a flu vaccination at the practice) - you will be invited in October to make an online booking for your flu and COVID booster vaccinations (if due) - these will not be delivered at the practice.  The invite will be sent out via a Central Team (not from ourselves).

Although restrictions have lifted, we are continuing to follow Government guidance:

  • Patients are still required to wear a face covering when attending the surgery unless exempt
  • Continue to respect social distancing
  • Patients to test and isolate if you have symptoms (you can order your own kits by visiting or pop into your local pharmacy for advice)
  • Wash / sanitise hands regularly
