Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following: health_clipboard

  • Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Private prescriptions
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates

Details of the fees / charges which apply to the above are displayed in our waiting area / Reception.

Please note:  most insurance companies will require a medical report for any claim that is made in relation to the applicant's health (this can include claims related to travel and employment policies as well as many others).  Reports such as these are not covered by the NHS and so are classified as private work for which a fee is charged based on the length and complexity of the report as specified by the insurance company. We would advise anyone taking out an insurance policy to first check as to whether it is the insurance company or the patient who is required to cover the cost and to bear this in mind when comparing prices of different policies.
